Because of the wide range of applications and market applications, the Life Sciences water market, particularly start-up pharmaceutical, lab water makeup, and cosmetics, has historically required the use of custom water systems to meet the varied needs of the end users. Mar Cor Purification, with its 40 years in the high purity water system development and experience in standard product lines, saw the opportunity to meet the needs of this group of water users using a standard product line. Although custom applications are the norm, Mar Cor identified that almost all of these applications fit within a particular flow rate and range of optional components.
Keeping this hard to reach market in mind, Mar Cor developed a standard, low flow rate, price-competi¬tive system with various optional components, capable of meeting the needs of almost any low-flow rate high purity water application. The result of this project, the 4400L, is a standard water platform with three differ¬ent standard flow rates, a distribution system and 10 different standard options available all on a compact single skid, reducing installation costs. The 4400L is designed to produce up to 8 US gpm (30 lpm) at 41°F (5°C) of pure water to a storage and delivery system that can pump up to 80 US gpm (303 lpm) of high quality water to various point of use. The system is designed with the end user in mind, using color touch HMI view coupled with an industrial PLC for a robust control system for operator ease of use. Just like any other Mar Cor platform, the 4400L is built to exacting standards under ISO 9001:2008, and can be executed and installed in a standard lead time. The 4400L System has growing client list since its release last year, and the current trend shows promising potential for future growth
